List Manager
Build a checklist with categorized sections, reorder items freely, and track progress at a glance — saved to this browser automatically, with account backup and PDF/Excel export available once you sign in.
Overview
Most checklist tools are either a flat, unsorted list or force an account before you can start. This one keeps a small set of shopping-list-style sections (Produce, Dairy, Packing, whatever fits your list) so related items stay grouped, and everything saves to your browser automatically as you go — no account needed to start using it. Reorder items by dragging them or with keyboard-friendly up/down buttons, check items off as you complete them, and watch the progress bar fill in. Save to your account only for the lists you want backed up or available from another device, and export to JSON or a plain-text checklist anytime, no sign-in required.
Examples
A grouped shopping list
Produce: Apples, Spinach Dairy: Milk, Eggs
Two sections (Produce, Dairy) each with their own checkable items.
How It Works
- Click "New list" to start one, or select an existing list from the sidebar.
- Add items with an optional category — items are grouped into sections automatically.
- Check items off as you go and watch the progress bar update.
- Drag an item to reorder it, or use the up/down buttons for keyboard-only reordering.
- Use "Duplicate list" to copy a list, or "Clear completed" to remove checked items.
- Export to JSON or a plain-text checklist anytime; sign in to also export as PDF or Excel, or to save a list to your account.
Use Cases
Recurring checklists
Packing lists, grocery runs, or a moving-day checklist you duplicate and reuse each time.
Lists you want on another device
Save a specific list to your account once it's worth keeping, and it's available next time you sign in from anywhere.
Tips
- Lists saved only to this browser won't appear on another device — use "Save to account" for anything you need elsewhere.
- "Duplicate list" always starts the copy fresh with every item unchecked, so it's ready to reuse right away — the original list's progress is left untouched.
FAQ
Not by default. Every list is saved to this browser's local storage as you build it. Nothing reaches Adikya's servers unless you sign in and click "Save to account," or choose a PDF/Excel export (both of which require sign-in for that reason).
JSON and plain-text export are generated entirely in your browser, so nothing leaves your device. PDF and Excel files are generated on the server, so we require sign-in for those two formats specifically — your list data is only ever sent to the server if you're signed in and choose one of them.
You're taken to the sign-in page and brought straight back here afterward, at which point that export finishes automatically.
Yes, as long as you're using the same browser on the same device — lists are stored in that browser's local storage. Clearing your browser's site data will remove them, which is also why saving anything important to your account is worth doing.
Yes, 200 lists per account with up to 500 items each, which is far beyond typical use.
