How to Play
- Pick a difficulty and click any square to start — your first click is always safe and opens an area.
- Each number shows how many of the eight surrounding squares hide a mine.
- Right-click (or long-press on a phone, or turn on Flag mode) to flag a square you think is a mine.
- Click a revealed number whose mines are all flagged to open its remaining neighbours at once.
- Reveal every safe square to win. Keyboard: arrow keys to move, Enter or Space to reveal, F to flag.
Tips & Strategy
- Start with the 1s next to a single hidden square — that square must be a mine.
- If a number already touches as many flags as its value, every other neighbour is safe.
- Look for the 1-2-1 and 1-2-2-1 patterns along edges.
- Only guess when you must, and prefer corners and edges of open areas.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Mines are placed after your first click and never on or next to that square, so it always opens a space.
