Fill cells to match the clues.

How to Play

  1. Each clue lists the lengths of the runs of filled cells in that row or column, in order. For example, "3 1" means a run of three, a gap of at least one, then a single cell.
  2. Click a cell to fill it. Drag along a row or column to fill several at once.
  3. Right-click a cell (or switch Mode to mark) to put an ✕ in cells you know are empty. Marks are just notes for you.
  4. With the keyboard, use the arrow keys to move, Space to fill and X to mark.
  5. A clue is crossed out once its row or column matches. Fill every line correctly to reveal the picture.

Tips & Strategy

  • Start with big clues: in a 10-wide row, a clue of 8 means the middle six cells must be filled whichever way it slides.
  • A clue of 0 means the whole line is empty, so mark it straight away.
  • When the clues plus their gaps add up to the full width, that line is completely determined.
  • Mark the cells you rule out. Every ✕ gives you information about the crossing lines.
  • Every puzzle here can be solved by logic alone. You never need to guess.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Every puzzle, including the random ones, is checked by a solver to make sure it has exactly one answer that you can reach one row or column at a time.

Pictures are hand-drawn images such as a cat, a rocket or a coffee mug, and the game remembers which ones you've solved. Random puzzles are generated fresh each time, so there's always a new one, up to 15x15.
