Rings, Rotate, Swap and Layers: four different ways to scramble a picture. Pick a photo or a famous painting, or use your own, and put it back together.

Choose a picture

Your own photo (PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 20 MB, or drop one here) stays on your device and is never uploaded. You can zoom and move it to choose the part you want.

How to Play

  1. Choose a puzzle type: Rings, Rotate, Swap or Layers, and how big it should be.
  2. Pick one of the built-in photos (filter by Animals, Nature, Places, Food, Famous art or Space), upload your own, or generate abstract art. With your own photo, drag the preview to move it and zoom with the slider, the mouse wheel or a pinch to frame the part you want.
  3. Rings: the picture is cut into circles. Drag a ring round, or pick one and use Turn left and Turn right, until every ring lines up.
  4. Rotate: every tile is turned. Click a tile to turn it right, or right-click (or Shift+click) to turn it left, until all of them are upright.
  5. Swap: the tiles are mixed up. Click two tiles, or drag one onto another, to swap them.
  6. Layers: the picture's fragments are spread over several see-through layers, each slid out of place. Pick a layer and drag it, or use the arrow keys, until it lines up. A tick marks each layer that's in place.

Tips & Strategy

  • In Rings, start from the centre and work outwards: the middle disc never moves, so it shows you where the next ring should go.
  • In Rotate, look for straight lines and horizons first. They're the easiest to set level.
  • In Swap, Mark correct tiles outlines every tile that's already in place.
  • In Layers, each layer has its own colour. Tap a fragment to pick the layer it belongs to.
  • Peek shows the finished picture whenever you need a reminder.
