Cryptogram
Each letter of a famous quote has been swapped for a different one. Work out the code, one letter at a time, to reveal the message.
How to Play
- Every letter in the message has been replaced by a different letter. The small letter under each blank is the code letter.
- Click a blank (or use the left and right arrow keys), then type the letter you think it really is.
- Your guess fills in every place that code letter appears, so each guess helps across the whole message.
- If two code letters get the same guess they turn red, because each real letter has only one code letter.
- Hint reveals one correct letter. The puzzle is solved when every letter is right.
Tips & Strategy
- Single-letter words are almost always A or I.
- Look for common short words: THE, AND, YOU, IS, OF, TO.
- E, T, A, O, I and N are the most common letters in English.
- An apostrophe is often followed by S, T, D or LL.
- A code letter never stands for itself.
